A new look at one of the North Country's Coldest Cases
I have connections to clearchannel, but only in Dallas. But depending where the billboards are going, I can probably pull some strings.
James, could you clarify whose plan and where the money is coming from? This is no small financial matter. For me, I think not too near the scene, which is the one place where there is the most knowledge of the case. I'd pick 93 north in MA toward NH, maybe one in Quebec on the major route from Montreal, say between the city and the border, and one in the vicinity of Burlington/Plattsburg.
I have property in Franklin, Henniker, and Antrim (all New Hampshire). The Franklin Property is right on 3A; 14 acres with a lot of traffic. If you'd like to put one on any (or all) of those properties, you can do so free of charge.
Perhaps the Lincoln, NH area. I would also think maybe one right before the Canadian border. And I agree with John that anything too close to the family would be inappropriate. Boston may be expensive, but Manchester/rt 93 would catch all the MA traffic heading up to the lakes & mountains. Jigger Johnson Campground is only 4.5 hours from Quebec City. I wonder if she ever gets nostalgic and revisits?
I would place one directly across the street from the hairdresser's house.
If you decide to do any in Nova Scotia (based on the tenous family connection IIRC) I have access to digital billboards in 22 locations around the province. Feel free to contact me via email should you venture into our region with your search.
What a great response with all the volunteering of help and resources.
James - have you contacted John Walsh of America's Most Wanted? He does missing person stories too. As far as billboards - Amherst, Sherbrooke, Montreal, Quebec, The salon, would be my ideal places.
Woodsville now has a Super Market since 2007 where most locals get groceries. They have a billboard with missing persons. I can ask the manager for you since I live there. Woodsville Dunkin D. is the second most visited place also with a Billboard, I can talk to the manager there too if you want me to.The post offices are spread around - Haverhill, Woodsville and Pike, each very small.Let me know if I can help. Lena
