  1. Did the other two hit and runs happen before Maura disappeared or after?
When did Fred start taking money from the ATM machine? Before or after Petrit Vasi was hit?

  2. I never understood why the phone call she received at the dorm which caused her to leave was not traced.

    2. She is one smart cookie!!! She started the act with her supervisor by acting "shooking up" and just saying "my sister"...leading me to believe her claiming that her sister "died" and wrote that email stating "a death in the family"...this was a planned disappearance/faking of ur death...the only thing that wasn't planned was the car sliding off the road on 112...but thankfully she had a friend following her which allowed her to jump in their car and take the other bottles of alcohol...where those bottles that she bought ever found? Or just the wine box? What was all found in her car? How much of the wine was gone? I think the cops have prints and know who was with her in her car that night

  6. Was there printed directions to Stowe, Vermont found in Maura's car?
Didn't Kathleen Murray get caught growing pot in Vermont?
Maura most likely confided in Kathleen because she was probably less judgemental than other family members.

    1. I am trying really hard to wrap my mind around the fact she needed directions, shes been going there all the time in her life, this is not a new place for her???

  7. Great blog. Very interesting case, too.

I'm leaning towards MM missing by the hands of a stranger who she made the mistake of trusting. Though, a possible tandem driver, maybe someone she met recently at school or work is another likelihood.

Her lack of correspondence with this roadtrip friend is baffling though.

Another interesting NH cold case is Curtis Pishon. Quite the opposite of this one, police seem to know the basis of the disappearance, but lack a willing witness to come forward. It's been over 15 years with no closure in that case.

    1. I've lived in the area where Pishon went missing. That lot just opened again after all these years, now restaurants and such. However, I heard from locals of people that know what happened. It is unfortunate that those people refused to come forward even to this day and give the family some solace.

  8. On the night of the Toyota crash, Who called the police? Wasn't Triple A called? If so, who called them? If maura made the call to police or Triple A, how did she make the call? Supposedly she left her phone at the party Saturday night. On the police report it should say who made the call. The police call logs should have what number it came from.
Also, I've read that her friends said she left the party around 2:30 AM but crashed around 3:30 AM? By the pictures it looks like she didn't crash to far from UMASS. If this is correct then what was Maura doing for an hour after she left "the party".

    1. From what I read no made that call. A police officer happened to be in the area of the crash...correct?

    2. No...a neighbor nearby heard (and I believe may have partially seen) the crash and called police. The odd thing is she didn't call the police until 20 minutes or so after the crash happened, if I recall correctly. During that time the bus driver pulled over offering to help and was denied.

    3. If she left it at the party, which I to have heard,...how did she use it to check her last message in Haverhill, it really makes no sense.

  9. I am quite surprised to say the least that hardly anyone has suggested she hit her head on the windshield and had a concussion....wondered off about a mile got dizzy passed out and then was died due to brain injury. If she didnt die perhaps she doesnt know who she is and like many people have said she doesnt look like the smiley posing Maura. Its very unlikely but I have heard of it before.

  10. Also could a stranger abducted her from her dorm, got her to write those messages to allow more time to "play" with his victim, got her to drive to the middle of nowhere then kill her and hide her body? The only one that saw her from when she left her dorm is Butch and he wasnt even sure if it was her.

  11. She's on video at the ATM in Amherst. Police have the video.
