**UPDATED** Woman Found Wandering in Maine Won't Tell Police Who She Is

Is it the beginning or end of a mystery? A woman has been found wandering the area of Greene, Maine and was taken in by police. They are trying to figure out who she is.

So far, she has been uncooperative, refusing to speak or write answers to their questions. She has nodded yes or shaken her head no to a couple questions.

She is 5'7" and 120 pounds.

What do you think?

***UPDATE***
The woman claims to be 41-year-old "Jessica Green" from Wisconsin, according to The Portland Press Herald.

However, the article goes on to say:

Holt said his office got a copy of a photo identification card from Wisconsin authorities, but because the photo was several years old and Green has been living on the streets, he wasn’t prepared to say it was a confirmed match.
Residents called police about Green on Wednesday afternoon and she was found about 2 a.m. Thursday. Initially, she would only nod or shake her head to communicate, Holt said, but she later answered some questions “yes” or “no.”
“She’s not being of any help, whether that’s intentional or not,” he said.

Should be interesting to see if they are ever able to confirm the match.

  1. Would love for this to be the answer. Unfortunately, the eye colors don't match- Maura has blue-green eyes, this woman has brown eyes.

  2. Looks can change, but it's unlikely Maura's full, high cheeks would change so dramatically.

  3. I wondered the same thing, but the eyes don't look the same color? Maybe they've said what color her eyes are, from the photo they've released you can't really tell.

  4. We need a side by side with her mugshot.

  5. I don't think its Maura but if the woman has been living on the streets, it can dramatically change how you look. Living on the streets takes a toll on a person.

  6. I would love it to be her but eyebrow shapes are really hard to change on someone, even if she did get cosmetic surgery, the eyebrow arches are totally different.

  7. Would love to see a side by side. Without getting into a lot of detail. I found a relative who had Been missing for over 8 years. When we showed a worker at the facility she was in she was in absolute shock! She couldn't believe this was the same person and even radioed other workers to come and see the photo. I wouldn't discount anything until some test are done. If this isn't Maura, I sure hope another family has a wonderful reunion with their loved one.

  8. If you do a side by side with the woman and the black and white photo the police took of Maura in the dorm right after she was busted for ordering the pizza with the stolen card no. There are some similarities, it was the only photo I could find with Maura not smiling.

  9. For someone living on the street, this woman doesn't look 41. I think she gave the cop in Augusta a fake name and age. I'm probably in the minority, but I think it's her. The height, eye color (she does have blue eyes)...The photo was also shot at a downward angle. It looks like her hair has gone somewhat gray but has been dyed. I think she got tired of running and decided amnesia was the way to go. I hope police at least check into it.

  10. I have to say no. At first glance, "whoa", definitely. But with a closer look, Jane doesn't match up with Maura. As others have mentioned, the brows are wrong. And so is the shape of Jane's face. Last, Jane's nose doesn't match Maura's at all.

    Close, but no cigar.

  11. Where was she before she was wandering the streets? I think that is what is important.

  13. The best picture to do side by side is Maura's "mug shot". It's one of the only pictures in which she isn't hugely smiling. The expressions of the girl found and the mug shot are similar.

  14. Waste of time. Not even close. Hopefully a missing person has been recovered though.

    1. I couldn't agree more. This is a total waste of time. This is just some random case that has nothing to do with Maura. It might be an interesting case in its own right, but still irrelevant. And what's with all the talk of doing a "side-by-side" ? As soon as I saw the picture I knew it wasn't Maura.

At first, I thought Renner was just trying to make the point that perhaps Maura, like this person, could be wandering the streets. But then when I saw everyone posting comments suggesting that this might be her, I was taken aback. A lot of people apparently need to have their eyes examined.

  15. Nope. Her facial features are nothing like Maura's.

"True Crime Addict" will be released on 5/24/16, according to Amazon.

  17. Should be easy to do a fingerprint check. Cadet Candidates who apply to West Point and are accepted are required to send a local law enforcement report with their fingerprints as part of their acceptance packet. I would imagine her fingerprints would still be there because the Army never gets rid of anything.

  18. Wish they would show her teeth, Maura's 2 front teeth look big and fake like caps/veneers it would be obvious

  19. This chick is clearly an addict of some sort and psychologically disturbed. It's written all over her face.
