A new look at one of the North Country's Coldest Cases
If Maura ate a lot of Domino's, it stands to reason that she had the Domino's number on speed dial in her phone. So, it's not impossible that she pocket-dialed Domino's at the times in question, especially when you factor in being upset and/or possibly drunk. Just throwing that out there.
Um, even the 3am call isn't explained by a pocket dial. remember, phones in 04 were different than now. I've only pocket dialed like twice EVER and my phone is ALWAYS in my pocket. She more than likely had a small flip phone.I can't even remember what kinds were available.
The phone calls in question lasted over 3 mins. If it was a pocket dial, it typically wouldn't have lasted that long.
But it must be explored because it did happen, someone did answer or it would've been a lot briefer.
perhaps dominoes head office would have all transactions since the begining?
yep. ^5 JR
Rats...I worked at a Dominos in 1998.
Your best bet is to talk to the manager that is still there. She was there a little after Maura disappeared and is now the store manager. I spoke with her and I couldnt get any info as to employee names there at the time. I know this avenue has already been investigated.
I DOUBT the same staff is there 10 years later.
Start with karen mayotte. She may remember the name of someone coming in the dorm regularily from domino's & she seemed cooperative in past statements...
James, is there any receipts of Mauras that has a drivers name on it, from Dominoes, of a repetitive nature?
When I was *much* younger, I worked at a fairly popular family restaurant chain. There was a monthly or bi-monthly news letter that gave shout out's to employees and stores based on revenue or customer service. Could you find out if Dominoes has/had something like that which may still be kicking around?
I don't know why I haven't done this yet...I don't know why I've never thought of it-- but I'm going to go through my Facebook friends list and see who went to UMass Amherst. I bet there's at least 20 people. I'm a few years younger than Maura, but from MA and people I know would have started in the '03/'04 school year. If anyone remembers anything about Maura or names of Domino's employees I'll let you know and give you their contact info.
All we gotta do is ask the IRS to look in its W-2 database for 2004. Any agents going to retire anyway willing to do us a solid?
or do a credit report on her now see if she is still using her id, the cops never checked her cell phone bill, so prhaps its overlooked, yet again.
I am SURE Domino's uses www.theworknumber.com. With a large chain like this and managers rotating frequently I'm sure they can't keep up with employees like a mom and pop pizza place. In addition, it is illegal in most states to verify it over the phone for privacy reasons. You'd have to find someone that has access to it on a larger scale than most. Most people (like myself) would have to know the SSN of who they were trying to verify. However, a manager that I was in connection with could pull up the location and see all the employees for a certain date.
Just look in the receipt box, Renner! Sheesh.
she did have a number of reciepts, wether its available or LE has them idk.
if she kept doing the credit card fraud, they may have delivered it to her, but under another name.
Stop making excuses and just look in the box.
