  1. What is the 1993 accident call to 22 Walker or was it from 22 Walker?

  2. I know it is not a very nice thing to say, but it makes me laugh to see that she used a stolen credit card to buy food from Pinocchio's restaurant.

    1. That is something a bulimic would do. I am bulimic and I have done this many times (not with a stolen card). Its not funny. Its a mental illness.

    2. I think you are completely missing the point. They said nothing about bulimia or what she ordered from there (and for the record, ordering food from a restaurant is something that pretty much everyone does many times - not just bulimic people, so I don't know why you assumed immediately that his comment had anything to do with a possible eating disorder). I think they meant it was funny that she ordered from PINOCCHIO'S considering the story of Pinocchio is about lying, and she was using a stolen credit card to order... aka, she was lying to Pinocchio's restaurant.

  3. She is too embarrassed to come home. She probably left town humiliated, afraid, unable to face it all. She is probably living a new life somewhere else.

  4. I believe she was abducted. I remember watching the show disappeared and a woman claimed she had seen a woman walk into her store with an older man and the woman was mouthing the words 'help me'. It wasn't until she had seen the missing posters that she realized it was Maura.
Maybe she was embarrassed for disappointing her father (even though she really didn't) so she left and when she got in the accident, some man probably saw and offered her a ride.

    1. The women on the Disappeared show was in no way 100% sure who the woman with the man was.

  5. Just want to bring back attention to the person that stated:
    Maybe Maura was driving because her dad had drank to much;
Somebody stated that there was a peice of evidence to the contary; that states he took both kate and maura to the liquor store.

    If that was the case another another peice of evidence contrdicts that by Fred Murray himself and not just hia say;

    The link is http://mauramurray.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/police-obtained-fred-murrays-cell-phone.html

I have only just started going through the evidence and will continue to do so as I do believe she met foul play- but I also believe not all facts are out reguarding the lead up to this disappearance, I also whole heartedly believe that she wanted to get away for a while to try and sort things out for herself without upsetting others- as she was the one people came too and not the other way round.

Such a sad outcome but I truly believe the answers are out there to be found.

Sending much love to all Maura's family and friends- stay strong.

    Love from the UK xx

  6. Did anybody thoroughly investigate the LAST person to see her alive...the bus driver. She's probably buried in his back yard.

    1. That's what I was thinking. He appeared on the documentary "Disappeared" and seemed straightforward but I think they need to get ground-penetrating radar and comb every inch of where he lived in NH. Even search under the house. It is very odd that he up and moved to Florida after that and would not talk when detectives showed up to interview him. Dang it then he up and dies. I truly hope the truth comes out someday.

    2. I honestly have to say I am from the area and know of the bus driver (not a friendly guy)and he has moved since all this happened. Huge Renovations happened at the home he was at so very unlikely he buried her in his back yard.

    3. I think the fact he phoned 911 so soon after he got home discounts that. Why would he risk calling the police if he had her at the house. I think if he'd grabbed her he wouldn't have called in the accident at all.

    4. what if butch offered her a place to hide from a dwi say in the bus that was not even checked . the town has something very sinister to hide. not to say the good chief and the good buss driver would work in tandem to abduct a young woman on the run . something does not fit when a town denies a search for a missing person . no sympathy from hardly anyone . they cried foul and trespassing. what if was there loved one . darkness hates light and there's a lot of darkness in that little strip of road . try talking to some one about it all you get is anger .

  7. May-an! These documents are very telling. Especially the reports about her arrest. Holy cow. It would be easier if I could actually see the name of the gal who was arrested (her name was blotted out) in order to connect it to Maura. But the picture speaks a thousand words. We all get tempted sometimes. I have always been against outright stealing but I do admit I was very spoiled as a teen and young adult and my parents gave me a credit card which I sometimes abused but rarely got reprimanded for it. A few times my dad did make me pay him back but actually he was too nice to me. I admit I did one time take his new Nordstrom's card off his desk and went and charged like $75 on it. He caught me when I came home with my shopping bags and had a fit, which I don't blame him. I was totally wrong...it is so not worth getting in trouble, the truth is always the right thing to do... I am surprised Maura doesn't have a credit card from Fred her dad. I guess it is human nature sometimes to take for granted those who take care of us but I cannot fathom stealing from strangers.

  8. This case I just wish there was a answer. This reminds me of the Madeline McCann case just so mysterious and no answer in sight. This one will probably never be solved. It's just a bummer that now the book won't be out until 2015 it's taking so long but I hope it's worth the wait.

  9. So there were 4 polygraph tests administered. Butch Atwood took two, but who took the other two?

  10. I wonder what the article is in "N", Part 1, that can't be disclosed. I am very curious as to what investigators know. Do these reports ever get released after a certain amount of time?

  11. From the State documents regarding the case:
I find it interesting that Landry stated that he has reasonable belief that criminal charges would be filed some day. Criminal charges..I think what investigators have in their hands show foul play...this is my opinion. His wording may indicate that criminal charges are not ruled out..but it seems the wording indicates a strong belief that they know something went awry..what do you think?

  12. Do you think Kate and Sara won't speak about what was going on with the "party" because what they know might hurt the investigation if it was revealed? From reading the State documents..they are very clear about being hush hush on details. Why wouldn't they ask Kate and Sara to comply? What if Murray was getting away from somebody dangerous? They can't say who.. This would be a wild scenario but what if she had a stalker that put a tracking device on her car..he follows her..she panics and crashes. Not very plausible though, because she called triple AAA but why not police involvement if in trouble? Why was there refusal for help? Was she being hushed by someone? Her behavior was odd. Was somebody with her, not in view? I thought of the stalker/tracking device scenario because this happened to my friend trying to escape an obsessed boyfriend. Was Maura running from someone?

    1. She never made a call to AAA,,,,,,there was, and still is, no cell service in that area

    2. "but why not police involvement if in trouble? Why was there refusal for help? Was she being hushed by someone? Her behavior was odd."

I think quite simply because she didn't want to be found. She had the credit card incident and knew she had to be on good behavior. But then she wrecked her dad's car at 3 in the morning coming from a party. Maybe alcohol was involved. The police were involved and she knew that would haunt her. She was getting away from the mess she felt her life was becoming, escaping for a while. Then the worst thing happens, she has this accident right after having the other one, maybe alcohol was involved too. She absolutely didn't want the police. I think she panicked and walked away from the accident just trying to get away from it all. I don't know what could have happened next. Hopefully she was just picked up by someone else who was traveling through on a long distance trip, and has just dropped out of her life to start a new one somewhere else.

  13. Follow up comment: This is what I find interesting. The panic at Point A...a disturbing phone call..a sudden need to get away..clear emotional problems..a liaison..friends silence..an emergency situation with dad and weird patterns with a plan with her friends in odd locales..(pick up Kate behind the dorm) get togethers with dads and friends and a dads desperate collection of money at various ATMs..money for Maura. Point B. The Accident. Aside from considering what is taking place at Point A, what is the likelihood of her meeting a serial killer at Point B? Not very. What about her behavior at Point B? Don't you think there might be a connection with Point A and Point B? Isn't an obsessed sociopathic stalker the most likely scenario? I think the friends know who but more evidence needs to be collected and nothing can be done. Maybe the dad knows too, hence the grabbed her comments..maybe he desperately wants to know how close police are to getting evidence..that's why the filings and such. What do you guys think? I am not very familiar with the case..so I don't know if my theory is ridiculous. I just watched Disappeared and was perplexed by this one.

  14. Another thought. She stole the credit card. It doesn't seem smart to order from a place more than once..didn't she? Not one charge..but a few, someone would notice..I think. She was remorseful but what is weird is that she was worried about making a statement as to why she did it. She was worried about that. Far out speculation here..but, do you think she was with an unsavory person that made her do bad things...somebody that controlled her? Somebody that wanted her caught to destroy her reputation. Maybe she wasn't comfortable concocting a lie about herself as to why she did it..maybe she really didn't want to cover for this bad person that made her do it. I don't know..it seems odd to me that if a person was brazen enough to steal and admit it..they could just say they were poor and hungry. Why this moral dilemma here?

    1. I honestly don't think it has as much to do with someone controlling her as far as the food ordering goes. I think it has more to do with the binge and purge cycle that would go with allegations that she was struggling with bulimia. She's not a large girl, so having to explain to friends or family that she's spending a crazy amount of money on food, not gaining any weight in the process, there probably wouldn't have been a good way to explain that. So instead, to try and satiate her urges (which with an issue like that I've heard can be impossible to ignore) she resorts to theft. None of it's anything she wanted, she didn't want the disease, she didn't want to have to resort to theft to support it, but once the theft was called out, I honestly can't imagine telling them that I did it because I'm bulimic. Considering she was using the cards to get food and not buy other things, I think that's the most likely answer. Unless she was using it for other things that I've just not heard. When I first read that people believed she was bulimic, and that she'd purchased food with other peoples credit cards, those both seemed to fit for me.

  15. To add to the post before this. It is also odd that she goes to stay with her father at 2 or 3 in the morning. She probably didn't want a stalker to know where she was..she didn't want to stay at her place..she might've felt safe with her dad..while she was putting her escape plan into action. Most people think it's weird that she went there at that hour. Maybe it is weird that the dad acts strangely about the money..maybe because he can't reveal the actual reason for it. Maybe it was not for a car..but the true reasons (Maura's getaway) might hinder the investigation. What he might know and can't reveal might make him look odd..same with the girls. The pack up in her room with the note it is odd too. I don't know what to make of it, yet. Maybe I'm overthinking things.

  16. Read the responses by the police about releasing investigation information. I think it is titled "Affidavits of Landry, Strelzin, and Smith and info about ongoing investigation." It is quite clear the police believe something criminal happened to Maura. Their reasoning for not releasing certain information is so that "justice can be achieved for Maura Murray" and to avoid "endagering the viability of any future prosecution."

It further states, "...revealing information publically would alert a person to the interest and make it harder to gain his or her cooperation and to enable that person to ise what other witnesses said to cover their tracks or to muddy the waters..."

Clearly the police have some idea that is not Maura running away. I would like to hear more about what is known about the police investigation.

  17. I'm confused; Pages 9 and 12 of "Documents given to Fred Murray, through records request: Part 1" shows that she called AAA for a tow due to accident, and requested to be taken to Quality Inn Hadley.

"College St. Motor's towed the vehicle and gave the operator a ride to Quality Inn Motel."

Where did this come from? Is the 2nd accident that was reported against Maura?

  18. Would both airbags go off if there is only one person in the car?? Some cars will not deploy airbags unless there is significant weight sensed in the seat. Maybe there was someone else in the car...
